Sire recently received four awards as part of the American Graphic Design & Advertising’s competition. The agency won in three categories, including logos, promotions, and publication design, which takes Sire’s total achievements to over 170 awards.
The American Graphic Design & Advertising’s (AGDA) competition is a mainstay in the recognition of branding excellence and receives tens of thousands of submissions each year. It is known as the premier showcase for the best graphic design and advertising in America.

Two logo designs were recognized with awards by AGDA including one for the newly re-opened Penn’s Tavern, located in Sunbury, PA. Mimicking the rustic charm of this historical waterfront restaurant, the logo features a silhouette of the unique building within a crest-type setting.
Sire also received an award for the Rest & Renew logo design created for the Columbia-Montour Chamber of Commerce. Designed to promote restaurants and hotels located off of Route 80, this logo was utilized in conjunction with a billboard campaign and rack cards in the region. Sire assisted with all aspects of branding the program from concept development and logo design to billboard and collateral.
In addition to the logos, the Grand Opening Kit developed for the River Rat Brew Trail was honored with an award in the promotional category. Sire played a key role in assisting the Columbia-Montour and Susquehanna River Valley Chambers of Commerce launch of the region’s very own brew trail. The Grand Opening Kit was among many components developed to support the launch of the trail. Distributed during grand opening weekend to all participating breweries, the kit Included a branded growler, coasters, t-shirts, rack cards and, bottle openers housed in a beautiful custom-branded wooden cheese box.
The final award was received for the 2017 Columbia-Montour Travel Guide & Directory. This full-color booklet is distributed across the region and beyond to visitors coming to Columbia and Montour counties. Featuring an impactful design, the publication includes a full events calendar, community directories, and more. This beautifully designed piece promotes the region and the countless things it has to offer travelers coming from far and wide.
