Selinsgrove, PA— For 10 straight years, Sire Advertising’s Annual Golf Marathon has raised money to support local community-based organizations. Fundraising surrounding the 2017 event, which was held this past May, recently came to a close and check presentations were made to two local organizations: Lewisburg’s Donald Heiter Community Center and the Selinsgrove Area Little League.
“Since day one, we’ve always valued our local community. Many of our clients are right here in the Susquehanna Valley and some of us grew up here as well,” said
Both organizations offer invaluable programs and opportunities to enrich local youth. For nearly 25 years, the Donald Heiter Community Center has been providing innovative and responsive programs and activities to serve area residents including the popular after-school program. The Selinsgrove Area Little League offers children in the community an opportunity to take part a great American pastime that teaches virtue, character, teamwork, and commitment.
“Sire Advertising has been a godsend to our Center. They have lent their marketing and creative expertise on many occasions to assist us with fundraising,” said Donald Heiter Community Center Executive Director Andrea Tufo. “Our organization survives on donations and thrives thanks to the generosity of supporters such as Sire Advertising.”
In the past 10 years, the Sire Golf Marathon has raised nearly $60,000 in contributions. Since its start in 2008, The Golf Marathon has been successfully raised funds through the support of sponsors to improve the lives of children in the Susquehanna Valley.
